Writing

In class we are learning how to write speechs. Everyone has to do a speech so they know what to do for ower realy speech in front of ower class then we go to the finals and if we do we have to say it in front of another class two so they can have a go to.

Maths

In class we are learning how to do graphs all of them.Like pie graphs,line graphs and other graphs. Graphs are so you can tell how many people take the bus,car,bike or walk. You can also see them on t.v like the news,newspapper and target so you might want to learn what it is like I am.

Table Tennis

Today we played table tennis but we have to learn diffrent tennis games and we have to play some other schools. I am bad at playing table tennis and other tennis games. So I need to learn how to play and get better to win the games of table tennis and other tennis games.

Things I Need To Learn And Need Help With

The things I need help with are bar charts or tallys,data dispaiy. But on other stuf I don't need much help with is in mathematics but I some times do need help with maths and other stuf.

Speeches

This term my class is doing speeches and I haet them so much.I can not talk in front of people because I am a quiet person and I wirte bad speeches so I can not get into the speech finals I just sit and watch everyone say there speeches.

First Day Back At School

Today my class had a test and it diddn't take long to do then the bell went and it was cold outside so it was hard to keep warm but it wasn't a long brack so we had to go back to the class to learn more and more then before.

No Jobs

There was an new world been biult but after the earthquake they have to take it do now and there is 86 workers out of work but some plaece is giving them some 500 shoping valters and mouths pay but they will be given to the workers.

Wednesday

In that earthquake there was a lot of stuf that was broken and a lot of people have lost there jobs and houses so ther is no where they can live at all. So they have to find plaeces to live for some time or in a school hall.

Earthquakes

In the earthquake many bilding falled or cracked. But the pets are the most shaken well not that much the dogs just the cats that are shaken. The pets owners had to put them in a kennel because their owners have no where to live because of the earthquake that happened.

Earthquake.

In christchurch there was an earthquake many people were in this earthquake no one was killed but there was a frier and other stuff. The army has gone to christchurch to help with the bildings. Most people are staying at school halls and gyms. The school has been closed for a week because of the earthquake.

School

I think school is cool because you can learn new things like maths,reading and writing. You can play games at school and make new friends and also met new teachers.But best of all you get to go on trips and camps or other stuf.

At school we are doing indoor netball and it is hard to play. So if you ever play learn how to play the game. At firts Ididn't know how to play but now I think I know how to play but not good like the other people in my class.

Wednesday

We are doing heaps of work today in maths,writing and reading.But I need to get better at my math and wirting.In wirting we are doing news board so we can get better at wirting storys.

Perntteacher Metting

I had my perntteacher metting on tuesday and I didn't get told off at all .All we talked about was my learning and that I am getting better at maths, reading, writing and spalling because St Andrews has great teachers and principal.But Ican't forget the two best teachers of all the depyoutea principal and miss.Eadwads.

Korean Students

Their are some korean students at our school for 4 weeks and I am a homestay for one of the korean students and her name is yearim she is kool.She came on saterday it was kool to meat her.I think yearim nows heaps of stuff about korea nth and sth.

If I Won

If I won the prize I would be happy.

With 10.1 million dollars I would help my mum and dad pay their bills for the mouth. With all that money how could someone go on a shopping spree because I wouldn’t I would buy the shopping for my mum.

I would help my mum and dad pay the rent or buy a house to live in so we don’t have to pay rent any more. If we owned our own house my parents would be happy to own there own house.

I would give me and my family some spending money. I would get my family a present for each of them and I would get some stuff for my school and my self.

I would do that for my family and my school too.

New Teacher

In room5 we have a new teacher her name is Mrs Fraser. She is nice and she helps me with my maths, reading,writing. Mrs Fraser is teaching us a new things and the fist one is ANZAC.

Japanese Students

The Japanese students went home yesderday and on the plan it took the plan 11 hours to get to Japan.It was fun having them in our homes. The Japanese students had lots of fun in nz but i think the home stays will miss them the most of all.

How Is Learning Structured In Room 5

In Room 5 we have rules or no one will learn. Rules are needed around the school as well as other schools need rules as well. Schools need to have discipline in the class rooms and around the school. Class are the ones that need the same rules as when the kids are out in the playground and around the school. If someone breaks one of the most in port rules in the school. If someone dose break the rules they have to suffer the consequences and that means that you have to change your card to a yellow card for a discussion with your teacher but if you get an orange card gets you another discussion with your teacher and this time they will keep a record from step1 to step3. Step1 is green, step2 is yellow, step3 is orange, step4 is blue and step 5 is red.
Class rooms around the school have heaps of rules even in room 5. The rules in Room5 are respect each other, help each other and if you don’t have enthink nice to say don’t say it all and no swearing.

Teachers are important to have at school or no one would learn at all. In Room 5 our teachers name is Miss Thomson and she is the deputy principal is well so no one in Room 5 be nutty that much in class or else your in big trouble. Well no one really gets in trouble that much any way now.

Students need help from teacher when they are doing their work.
Some students need lost of help from their teacher with their maths, reading, writing and art. When we go to tech the tech teachers teach as new thing all the time but only once a week on a Monday to go to art, wood work, music, sewing and cook.

In Room 5 we have 4 blocks and in the block 1 we do reading in the morning. In block2 we do maths in the morning. Block 3 we do writing in the afternoon like storeys. Block4 we do pe like touch and tag.

In Room 5 we play touch for pe and pe is good for the heart and it is really fun playing touch with my class and we are getting better at playing touch we could nearly play another class in the school.

Books

I am reading a book called The Spook's secret it is a good book.Iam enjoying my book and it is a new book .It is by Joseph Delaney and Illustrated by David Wyatt.Joseph Delaney came to our school last year to talk to us about his books.The books names are The Spook's Apprentice is book one, book two s The Spook's Curse, book three is The Spook's Secret, book four The Spook's Battle, book five is The Spook's Mistake and book six is The Spook's Sacrifice and that is not out yet so if you are interested from reading my wirting you will need to look out for it so you can read it and see what happens in it. Japanese Students

At school we have some japanese students from Makuhari. They are staying with some of the students in our school.I hope they are haveing a good time in nz. The japanese students are visting new places all the time in the north island with there homestay family.

Meeting

I had a meeting today with my mum and my teahcer Miss Thompson We talked about goal setting and my work like maths, reading and writing.

How To Play Touch

HOW TO PLAY TOUCH

The rules of touch are? The rules are need in ever game.

The rules of touch are? Touch has mean rules to play in a game. You must have six to twelve players in a game. You can only touch a person that is on the opposite team not tackle them. The opposite team can only touch you six times before you get to the touch the try lines on either team.

The equipment you need to play touch is a football and two teams to play touch. The players are allowed to go off the field to have a break or to take turn playing in the game. At any age people can play touch.

You have to have a referee to take the points boring the game.

Splitting Numbers In Math

I am learning to skip count in 3's,2's,1's,5's and 10's in room 5 with our teacher.I am also learning to split number in maths into 1's and 10's.
